CSV (Comma Separated Values) is a simple file format used to store tabular data, such as a spreadsheet or Database. A CSV file stores tabular data (number and text) in plain text.

In other words :-

CSV files are Comma Separated Values files. These are the delimited files when mostly comma (delimiter character which separates the values) is used to separate the values stored. The CSV files can also a delimiter other than comma but comma is the default delimiter.

These files take the extension as .csv
